So we've all been there before, you are out somewhere and nobody has a clue about where will be showing the latest matches. Instead of lugging around town and searching for a pub you can now use the Footie Pub application to quickly find the closest pub playing live football.

Footie Pubs searches through pubs in Greater London close to you, giving a list of the locations to watch the football. You can then use your GPS to map out the quickest route to your local boozer. All of this is seamless and hassle free.

Footie Pubs even gives you information on screen quality, drinks, food, atmosphere and an overall rating. It is really great that this is included, as it would have been easy for the developers to leave this out and this really what sold the application to me. Too many times I've stumbled into a pub, only to find that there's almost a hundred men huddled round a few small TVs, or that the food resembles something from my days at school.

Overall I was happy with Footie Pubs. The smartphone application was easy to use and I got into a nice pub, with time to get seats and food while watching the match.
